Denzal Foundation National Talent Search Exam (DFNTSE)

Introducing the Denzal Foundation National Talent Search Exam (DFNTSE), an ambitious initiative aimed at identifying and nurturing the intellectual prowess of young minds on a national scale. This scholarship examination, set to unfold annually, is designed to elevate students' skills, logical reasoning, and mental abilities through a rigorous two-stage competition.

DFNTSE unfolds in two pivotal stages – Stage 1 (State-Level) and Stage 2 (National Level). To qualify for the coveted scholarship, candidates must successfully navigate both stages of this all-India competitive examination. Open to class 10 students, the DFNTSE examination offers a platform for intellectual growth and recognition.

The application process is versatile, allowing students to apply either online or offline. Moreover, DFNTSE extends its reach beyond the borders of India, welcoming students pursuing education in other countries. The primary goal of this examination is to assess and enhance a specific set of abilities in students, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of their potential.

The first stage of the examination, conducted at the State Level, is overseen by Local Chapters and State Executive Teams. Subsequently, Stage 2, taking place at the National Level, is orchestrated by the National Coordination Team in collaboration with the DFNTSE team. Students qualifying in Stage 1 gain the opportunity to compete in the national arena during Stage 2.

DFNTSE comprises two distinctive papers – the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and the Mental Ability Test (MAT). Each paper features 100 questions, each carrying one mark, and students are allotted two hours for each section. Following a stringent evaluation process, the top 200 candidates will be shortlisted and honored with monthly scholarships.

Denzal Foundation National Talent Search Exam (DFNTSE), is a scholarship examination that will take place on a national level to identify and enhance the skills, logical reasoning, and mental-ability of the students.

The all-India competitive examination will be conducted annually for class 10 students in two stages - Stage 1 (State-Level) & Stage 2 (National Level). If a candidate wants to be eligible to receive the scholarship, he/she will have to clear both exams.

Students have the leverage to apply both online and offline for the DFNTSE exam. Students residing in India as well as those who are pursuing their education from other countries are also eligible for DFNTSE. The main objective of the DFNTSE exam is to evaluate a particular set of abilities in students. The Local Chapters or state Executive Teams shall conduct the Stage 1 examination, whereas Stage 2 shall be conducted at a national level by National coordination team in collaboration with DFDFNTSE team. Students who qualify for Stage 1 can appear for the Stage 2 exam.

The DFNTSE exam shall be comprises of two papers - Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) & Mental Ability Test (MAT). They both shall have 100 questions of 1 mark each and students get 2 hours for each paper. Out of all, 200 candidates shall be shortlisted and awarded monthly scholarships.

The Toppers in each of the categories will win Cash Prizes

  • - ₹ 30,000 for 1st place winners

  • - ₹ 20,000 for 2nd place winners

  • - ₹ 10,000 for 3rd place winners

  • - ₹ 2,000 for 4th to 10th place Winners

  • - ₹ 1,000 for 11th to 50th place Winners

  • - ₹ 1,000 for each State Topper (in each category)

DFNTSE Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria for each stage are different and the details have been mentioned below.

DFNTSE Eligibility Criteria For Regular Students
  • The candidate must be above 10 years as of January 1, of that year.

  • The candidate should be pursuing class 10 from any government/private/open school/ hybrid school/home schooled/ open school located in India.

DFNTSE Eligibility Criteria For Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Students

Students pursuing their 10th from open or distance learning can also attempt DFNTSE under these conditions:

  • The candidate must be  above 10 years as of January 1, of that year.

  • The candidate should be a full-time student without any kind of employment.

  • The candidate should be appearing for the class 10th examination for the first time.

DFNTSE Eligibility Criteria For Students Studying Abroad

Indian residents who are studying abroad can also attempt the DFNTSE exam under these conditions:

  • The student must be an Indian National.

  • If the candidate is pursuing class 10th or equivalent, then he/she is directly eligible for Stage 2.

  • The candidate should have scored a minimum of 50% in class IX final exams.

DFNTSE Exam Structure

  • The paper is divided into two parts - SAT & MAT. There are 100 questions in both SAT & MAT (Maths - 20, Science - 40, Social Science - 40).

  • The duration of both MAT & SAT is 120 minutes or 2 hours.

  • There is no negative marking. Candidates who qualify in both exams will be considered separately for merit.

  • The selection of the candidate who is eligible for the scholarship will be on the basis of his/her total score in MAT & SAT.
