- Asheema Singh National Mission | Denzal Foundation
Top of Page Page Title Lists Our Story Asheema Singh National Mission on Teachers and Teaching Teachers are the backbone and core of the education system. Therefore, ensuring their availability and improving their quality, as well as the quality of teaching and learning, has become central to our policy discourse. Teacher education should be seen as a single continuum spanning schools to universities, and we need to think of ways to strengthen institutional mechanisms at all levels and sub-sectors so that there are vertical and horizontal linkages. The high societal demand for education has resulted in increased expansion of the country's education system both in school and higher education. There has been a rapid expansion in the number of schools, colleges and universities, resulting in a mismatch between demand and supply, as well as a quality deficit in terms of professional qualifications, professional development. The teacher security deficit model affects the system both quantitatively and qualitatively. The number of teachers needed at both school and university levels must double in the coming years. To this end, we must adopt a dual strategy of increasing the number of students in graduate and post graduate programs and expanding our research base. Currently, almost 40 percent of teaching positions are vacant at universities and colleges, for which teacher recruitment is to be carried out as a matter of priority. Given the increasing demand for quality education for a population as large as ours, it is important to develop less expensive and at the same time highly interactive pedagogical tools for communicating the basic principles of science. However, unlike school teachers, college science teachers in India do not receive any formal training in science teaching. They are experts in their own discipline, but may not be aware of best practices in pedagogy, lesson planning, and assessment of learning outcomes. They develop their own teaching methods, but sometimes their methods lack a formal structure. Due to the absence of formal teacher training, there is also currently no platform to bring teachers together and help them learn from each other. A grassroots peer-to-peer network will help motivate teachers to identify scalable pedagogical tools that can be deployed across the country, taking into account curriculum, classroom size, equipment availability, etc. Button Introduction The Asheema Singh National Mission for Teachers and Teaching scheme is the culmination of Denzal Foundation's efforts in launching a comprehensive umbrella scheme aimed at improving the quality of education at all levels by infusing quality and excellence in our teachers and teaching. Teachers are the backbone and core of the education system. With the rapid expansion n of the country's education system, both at the school and university levels, quality improvement has become a focus of educational development. Needless to say, teachers hold the key to the success of any endeavor in this direction. Attention should therefore be focused on teacher training and their working conditions in classrooms, schools and colleges, as well as their continuous professional development, which will ensure that the best talents in the country are available to shape future generations. With this background, Hon'ble Chairperson Denzal Foundation launched the Asheema Singh National Mission for Teachers and Learning scheme on 25th December 2022. Quarterly interest deposited by your bank in your Salary/Savings Account is one such source, though the amount is small, it still is categorised as interest. The Scholars from all schools of thoughts have agreed on the usage of the Interest for helping the needy, instead of leaving it in the bank for some UN-ISLAMIC acts. With regard to the interest that the bank has given to you, do not give it back to the bank (else they use it to earn more interest and can sometime use against us) and do not consume it yourself. Rather spend it on charitable causes, such as giving it to the poor and needy. But it should be remembered that this amount is forbidden only for the person who has received it as interest. The poor persons who get it as charity can use this amount for their personal benefits. It can be given to your relatives as well who are needy. Interest Disposal: Now the question arises what should one do with the interest money one has already accumulated in the past in ignorance of the Laws of Allah or is being accumulated with no authority over it e.g. Quarterly Interest Deposit in your Salary/Saving Account? For the unlawful interest money that one has accumulated, we have two choices: You may either leave it in the bank. Or You may take it and dispose it for the benefit of the underprivileged. With Allah’s guidance, if you now wish to dispose of that illegal money, the scholars are of the opinion that one may take this interest with the intention that he wants to rid himself of this evil thing, and give it away to some charity without seeking any reward from Allah for this spending. The believer, who does this only because he fears the accounting of Allah in the Aakirah, will, InshaAllah, be rewarded for keeping himself pure from the evils of interest. DENZAL FOUNDATION provides a platform to people to donate their Quarterly/Annual interest in charity so that this amount can be used by DENZAL FOUNDATION for the upliftment of the Muslim Community by way of Educational & Economic empowerment. So get rid of Interest/Riba and purify your wealth by supporting the DENZAL FOUNDATION movement! You may either deposit your interest money in the following Bank Account below; Account Name Denzal Foundation - Interest Account No. Account Type Bank Name Branch IFSC Code OR Make an Online Payment by clicking on the link below; Note: 1) Please ensure that you mention ‘Interest Money’ as the ‘Donation Type’, so that we may spend your interest money correctly. 2) Interest money, according to the most careful opinion, is good for any charitable purpose (including educational fees for poor students).
